Destination Zero
by David McIntee
Review by James R.Cain
'Destination Zero' is a Final Destination novel, penned by David McIntee.
The story follows a group of survivors following the terrorist bombing of a train. Patti Fuller, a journalist for a tabloid press magazine had a vision and managed to stop a few passengers from boarding, thus saving their lives.
And in Final Destination tradition, Death sets about to settle the score.
This novel detours slightly from the traditional Final Destination formula however. In trying to understand the trouble they're caught up in, Patti uncovers a link with her ancestor, Juliet Collins, who also had a vision and saved herself and a number of people from a seance before a gas explosion destroys the house. And thus begins the unravelling of a mystery set in Victorian England around at the turn of the century, a mystery that involves none other than Jack the Ripper.
'Destination Zero' was a solid Final Destination novel. If you enjoyed the movies, McIntee will not disappoint.
